Colt 25 Black Airsoft – A Must-have in Your Shooting Kit
Are you a shooting enthusiast looking for compact size airsoft guns or BBs? Then, you will be interested to know about the Colt 25 Spring Airsoft Caliber Pistol. It is just 4.7 inches in length and weighs only 0.26 lbs. Small and lightweight, you can carry this gun in your coat pocket anywhere you want to!
Do not go by the size and doubt about its performance. With a 6 mm (0.24 inches) caliber, these Colt 25 Black Airsoft Guns can fire 15 rounds of 0.12g BB pellets. These pellet guns shoot spherical projectiles through the smoothbore barrel. Colt 25 Automatic Pistols have a muzzle velocity of 150 fps. Usually the energy developed by these guns is 0.12 joules and cannot penetrate skin. Though airsoft guns are designed to be less-lethal weapons, one should always remember that lightweight pellets can sting the human skin. Young players should wear safety clothes and goggles before they start their funfair.
“Hop-Up” is an interesting system in this BB gun. It creates friction while pellets are being shot through the barrel. Fighting gravity, wind resistance, and air friction, these guns will help you shoot up to 10 feet accurately. As the name suggests, Colt 25 Spring Airsoft Caliber Pistol has a single-action spring that has to be loaded before every shot.
Now let me tell you about its make. Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, ABS in short, is a kind of thermoplastic that has great resistance to impact (or shock), heat, and chemicals. This durable material is used to make airsoft guns especially BBs. Having been built with only a few breakable pieces, these guns last long for years. They work without the need of gas or batteries.
Complying with the federal law of the United States, Colt 25 Black Airsoft Guns are sold with an orange tip. You will find Colt 25 Automatic Pistols for unbelievable prices only at Sportsman Depot.

What are Airsoft Guns?
Airsoft guns are the ultimate toys for adults. They are essentially toy guns that shoot “BBs” and the guns are usually made of plastic, but there are more expensive metal varieties. This article covers the raw essentials for anyone interested in airsoft.
BBs are small round plastic balls. They are all the same size but come in different weights ans qualities. The two most common varieties are the 0.20g and the 0.12g. The standard is 0.20g, and the 0.12g is used in cheaper airsoft guns, or indoors where there is no wind to influence the path of the BB.
Airsoft is similar to paintballing but has some advantages and disadvantages. Airsoft Snipers must use at least 0.20 if their BBs are to stand a chance of travelling steadily at long range. It can also come in handy to use a more powerful airsoft gun and heavier BBs when playing in a forest, where leaves may block the path of the BB. Remember that for heavier BBs to help, the airsoft gun needs to be more powerful or the BBs will just travel at a slower speed and will drop to the grownd at a lower range.
Airsoft guns are illegal in many parts of the world. It is quite common for them to be allowed on private land as long as you have the permission of the land owner to use them there. In many parts of the world it is the law that airsoft guns have an orange cap on the end to show clearly that they are not functioning firearms.
When playing airsoft by far the most important safety aspect is to wear eye protection. A BB to the eye, shot from an airsoft gun can cause blindness and even death. I also suggest the use some sort of neck warmer to protect your teeth, because a BB that hits directly on a tooth can knock out that tooth.
Those are the basics of airsoft guns. There is a massive price range to choose from. Decent cheap airsoft guns are only more recently becoming available, but there are still a lot of bad deals out there. Enjoy your fantastic toys and play safe!

Airsoft Shotguns – the Tough Guys Airsoft Gun
Every airsoft fan has a favourite type of gun. Regardless of your preferences there’s a certain attraction to shotguns that appeals to us all – to that dark place inside us. Maybe it’s the way they’re portrayed in the movies. The shotgun was always shown as being a real tough guys weapon – you needed to get up close and personal to use it. Shotguns were always shown to be cool and airsoft shotguns are no different in that regard.
There’s a wide variety of shotguns available to the airsoft fan. Everything from the old reliable double barrelled shotguns to far more current styles. The double barrelled model is often sold in a gas variant model and is one of the very few gas powered airsoft shotguns available on the market today.
Some of the most popular airsoft shotguns are the old pump action style (which are spring powered) and these have the advantage of allowing you to fire bbs in rapid succession. The vast majority of airsoft shotguns are spring powered and tend to be the tactical style – used by the police and military although you can get many other styles and models.
There is also the option of choosing from the full stock or cutaway model of airsoft shotgun. The cutaway models have a pistol type grip and no stock to put against your shoulder. There’s an even share of this type of gun available to airsoft fans. What suits you most will depend on the style of shotgun you like and your own personal shooting preferences when it comes to buying your airsoft shotgun.
Despite the fact that many of these guns are spring-powered pump action models they can hold 40 or more rounds. This allows for rapid reloading and for you to get back in the fight quickly. This offers a distinct advantage over an airsoft rifle where you need to cock it from a non-firing position. The shotgun allows you to fire from the hip in a rapid firing pump action style. Airsoft shotguns are probably more suited to close quarters airsoft games – maybe a type of urban combat simulation although they would still be useful in most types of airsoft combat.
So why not try on an airsoft shotgun for size today? You just might like it!

The Difference Between Gas Blowback and Non-Blowback Gas Airsoft Guns
Airsoft games are becoming increasingly popular all over the world, particularly in America and Europe. It is a very competitive sport that has many variations but generally involves two teams that shoot BBs or pellets at each other with airsoft guns or rifles. The games can be set-up in acres of woodland, urban environments or other varied terrain.
Airsoft guns are often exact replicas of actual firearms and can easily be mistaken for the genuine item. Although they travel at speeds that are much slower than a real gun they can still give you a good bruise if hit by one, however they cannot injure you seriously. It is necessary to take extreme caution when handling airsoft guns to prevent any misunderstandings or accidents. If you are on the premises of a licensed airsoft game site then full safety regulations should be taken into account as they are set not only for the safety of others but also your own.
One of the most popular types of airsoft guns are gas-powered guns and rifles. Also known as GBB, they are generally suitable for those who have some previous experience of airsoft guns but are not fully proficient; they can also work out cheaper than automatic electric guns.
Gas Airsoft Guns are considered by many airsoft players to be the best types of guns to buy, mainly due to their higher level of bb velocity compared to electric and spring powered guns. These types of guns are popular due to their realistic semi-automatic firing and the ease in which the magazine can be reloaded.
There are two types of gas-powered guns, Gas Blowback and Non-Blowback Gas Airsoft Guns. Non-blowback guns, or GNB, are a step-up from spring powered airsoft guns, they don’t have the gas actuated slide mechanism, are cheaper than blowback guns and don’t use as much gas. GNBs can shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger and offer a very realistic experience for the player. The Non-blowback gun has less moving parts than other gas-powered guns and because of this less is likely to go wrong with it.
The most common gas-powered gun is the gas-blowback, when fired the power behind the recoil that is created by the gas provides an impression of handling a real firearm. They operate by using green gas either stored in the magazine or on-board to compress the air used to force the bb out of the barrel. The same gas is then used to cycle back the slide, causing recoil by cycling the slide back and forwards. This kind of structure is usually much quieter than the AEG’s or spring airsoft guns, which allows the player using it to gain more ground by sneaking up on their opponents. The gas blowback airsoft gun has the ability to fire pellets at a speed that is similar to a real gun and can be an exciting and challenging experience.
The sport of Airsoft is now available in many countries around the world and its popularity is increasing all the time. Airsoft games are fun and handling a replica of a real military firearm is an exhilarating experience. If you are looking for an airsoft pistol to play in war games, then Gas Airsoft Guns are good quality models to buy.

Electric Airsoft Guns: My Passion
I’ve been an avid collector of electric airsoft guns and all different types of bb guns for the majority of my life though the last few years have seen my enthusiasm for collecting wane just a bit. Things like a wedding, the birth of my first child and a promotion at work have eaten up the little free time I once enjoyed. I still love my air guns mind you, these days it’s just a matter of prioritizing things and my love of collecting and shooting usually falls by the wayside as the family must come first.
Even with all of the new responsibility I have recently taken on, my new neighbor shares the same passion for air and bb guns that I do. As the last two years have been extremely busy for me I ended up moving all of my guns into storage as I found no time for them, however with my neighbor being so inquisitive as to just how extravagant my collection is I have been bringing a few of my air rifles out to share with him. I’ll be the first to admit too that his collection dwarfs mine and I’ve always considered myself a hard core fan of bb guns and the like.
After sharing our collections and stories with each other I was invited to shoot with him over in his back yard. Upon receiving this invitation I took out a few more of my air guns and cleaned them up for the upcoming weekend. I was pleasantly surprised at how some of my guns had held up over the past two years as I expected them to be much dirtier and in need of quite a bit of work. This made the process of cleaning them more enjoyable and all that was left was to do was to buy some pellets and bb’s.
Our weekend of bb guns and BBQ came quickly which was nice as I was overly anxious to shoot again. When I arrived my neighbor immediately showed me his back yard and I was flabbergasted at just how much detail he had put into making a makeshift shooting range. There where of course four shooting posts complete with targets on them, a launcher for clay pigeons, and a row of cans lined up for us to shoot at. Seeing all of this harkened me back to the days when I had first started collecting as a young teenager.
My neighbor and I spent what felt like an hour, but was actually six hours shooting everything we could get our hands on. The action stopped only because we both ran out of bb’s and pellets. I came with two handguns and one air rifle and all three guns got a well deserved work out. Finding the time to spend a few hours anywhere but my own home is difficult but luckily my wife understands how important something like this to me and so we now have a schedule set up that allows me to partake in my hobby once more, and on a regular basis too!

Buying Airsoft Guns
So you want to buy an airsoft gun but don’t have enough experience to really know what you should get? Your decision should really be based on how you will be using it. There are 3 kinds of airsoft guns; spring airsoft guns, electric guns and gas powered guns. They are classified by the type of mechanism used to shoot the plastic bbs.
Airsoft guns are mainly purchased by those who want to participate in games whereby pellets are fired at opponents in a mock war environment. Games can involve situations where players have to look out for themselves, or team play. Built to resemble actual weapons there are gun enthusiasts who like to collect airsoft guns and, as they can easily be mistaken as a real firearm, they are often used as training tools by the military and police forces, or even as props for plays and movies. Airsoft rifles and guns are good fun and if your intention is just to use them for target practice with friends in the back yard you are guaranteed hours of entertainment.
Airsoft spring guns are powered by a spring, you need to manually cock the firing spring before each shot. In general, spring powered airsoft guns are not as powerful as the gas and electric models, but they are low-priced and provide a great kind of training gun for beginners as they are uncomplicated to operate, durable and easily obtainable.
Electric airsoft guns, otherwise known as AEG, use electricity to power a motor that shoots out the plastic bb. Batteries are required to operate them, usually 4 AAA type. Electric guns are the most popular type amongst the 3 as the rate of fire can be up to 1000 rounds per minute. These types of gun are suitable for all kinds of players, whether they are already experts or just starting out.
Gas powered air soft guns are also known as GBB, they operate by inserting cartridges of CFC-free gas into the butt of the gun which propels the plastic bbs. They can be very realistic models, but are often heavier and more difficult to handle.
Airsoft guns are very realistic and this is partly why they are so popular with gun enthusiasts and those who enjoy taking part in airsoft games. You will also hear them referred to as airsoft bb guns.
If you are intending to buy a gun because you want to join in one of the many organized and exciting war games that can be found all over the country, then an electric airsoft gun can be one of the most dependable and economical to buy. There are lots of different games with their own rules, and they take place in various settings. You could find yourself playing in a woodland area, an open field with shrubbery, or in an urban environment amongst buildings. Buying Airsoft Guns takes some research into which type would be most suitable for you. If you are a beginner then it is advisable to buy an inexpensive airsoft gun to start with, then if it is only used a few times you won’t have wasted a lot of money on it. A cheaper model will enable you to practice your gun skills until you are sure it is a hobby you would like to continue with.
Airsoft games can be good fun, re-enacting military situations and developing combat strategies is all part of the enjoyment. Look online for an airsoft guns guide to steer you towards making the right choice.

The First Fundamental of Marksmanship for the Airsoft Sniper (Part 1 of 4)
of airsoft snipers face a significant barrier to their ability to fulfill their position as a precision marksman because they bring with them a whole host of bad habits that have been established while engaging in skirmishes as the member of a squad wielding assault-style AEGs.
Unlike those who join the military, there is no barrier to entry and no basic marksmanship training required before getting involved in airsoft. Getting started is pretty much as easy as buying a gun and showing up at an event. Load gun, point, shoot, done.
Unfortunately, this translates into an entire group of players that lack a basic understanding of the fundamentals of marksmanship and how to employ them. Now this may not seem like such a big issue in a squad-type setting with close up engagements being the norm where simply sending enough shots toward your target fast enough may be the major determining factor, but this is not the case once a player buys an airsoft sniper rifle and starts to take up long-range firing positions.
If a player finds himself on terrain that requires constant movement between concealment points, then the exertion of getting from place to place along with getting into a sometimes unfamiliar position can often make aiming a very difficult proposition when the crosshairs are bobbling all over like sugar-high kid in a moon-walk.
Other than working hard to maintain a high level of fitness, the only thing that can help overcome these obstacles so that a player can properly fill the role of an airsoft sniper is mastering the Fundamentals of Airsoft Marksmanship. These four principles will enable any sniper who is struggling to accurately place shots with his or her new airsoft sniper rifle to be able to quickly improve accuracy and become the most feared operator on your team.
In this four-part series, we’ll outline what these four principles of marksmanship for the airsoft sniper are, and how you can employ them yourself. Here’s the first one:
Aiming – the first thing that needs to be taken seriously when using an airsoft sniper rifle is to understand basic aiming techniques. Point, shoot, fire is the oversimplified version that many shooters take when in fact aiming is composed of two major elements. Sight alignment and sight picture.
Sight alignment is making sure that your rear sight is properly aligned with your front sight to ensure that your rifle is pointing in the direction that you THINK it is. Sight picture boils down to properly placing your sights on your target.
When shooting with a rifle that doesn’t have a scope, paying close attention to both sight alignment and sight picture are essentially important.
Sighting in with a scoped sniper rifle however, is a different experience from aiming with a non-scoped gun. Sight alignment is not as much of an issue as the scope itself compensates for the proper & straight alignment of the rifle. It is important to know exactly how your scope works, and follow the instructions to properly zero it in well before showing up at the safe zone of any competition.
If your airsoft sniper rifle did not come with a scope, then it’s HIGHLY advisable that you do your best to get one ASAP. With few exceptions all of these guns do not come equipped to properly aim without a scope. Trying to operate as a airsoft sniper without a scope is a lot like building the fastest NASCAR ever but then failing to budget for some good racing fuel…the thing is just not going to work right.
Your scope will come with instructions on how to properly zero it in so that your shots actually end up where you aim. If no instructions are provided, you can find various guides simply by searching the internet.
Once your airsoft sniper rifle and scope are zeroed and ready to go, aiming is as simple as setting your sights on your target and squeezing the trigger. Both sight alignment and sight picture should naturally fall into place.

Replicas of Real Firearms – Airsoft Guns
Airsoft gun games: some basics.
Many on-line shooting game enthusiasts are turning to airsoft gun games as a way of taking their shooting skills to another level. Read on to find out why.
Some background
These types of gun were developed back in the 1980`s in Japan. At the time a real gun was actually difficult to acquire so the airsoft gun was developed as an alternative option for those who were enthusiastic about guns.
So what are airsoft guns? They are non-lethal reproductions of real fire arms, either in the original size or a smaller version. They are divided into three types according to the way in which they are powered. The three groups are spring-powered, electric powered and gas powered.
The first versions were spring-powered. Then came the electric powered guns and finally in the 1990`s we saw the growth of the gas-powered gun. Ammunition for these guns is plastic pellets varying size between 6mm and 8mm. These ‘bullets’ or ‘bb’s` vary also in weight with the lightest being around 0.12 grams all the way up to 0.88 grams. Experts tend to use a bullet weighing around 0.2 or 0.25 grams as they are the best for accuracy and distance.
In the 1990`s fighting grounds developed where groups of gun enthusiasts could gather to indulge their interest in pretend ‘war games’. Here two people could fight each other or teams could compete with each other. As interest has grown in this ‘hobby’ or ‘sport’, rules and game formats have developed along with the guns and gun accessories. Specially designated fight areas have also developed. Commentators suggest that airsoft gun games developed out of the paintball game.
Airsoft Game Formats
There are a number of game formats that you can be involved with including:-
Prison Escape – here you are a prisoner and you have to try to escape with a few other prisoners down an escape tunnel.
Capture the Flag – two teams have their own flag that the other team is attempting to capture and take back to their base.
Other games include – Stalkers, Manhunt and Last Player Standing.
The Rules
Although there are legal requirements around the use of the guns themselves, the rules for the game are more informal but contain some basic universal guidelines.
If the body or gear (but not the weapon) is hit, the player is out.
When hit, the player shouts ‘I am hit’ and raises his arm.
After being hit, the player must go to the safe zone.
After the hit, the players must not talk with each other
Friendly fire counts as a hit.
Safety: Some Basics
For your own safety and the safety of other bear in the mind the following:-
Do not show your guns in plain public view.
Play air soft games in designated areas and not public places like parks etc.
For personal safety wear goggles, a long sleeve shirt, and boots. Do not remove goggles while a game is in process.
When in the designated safe zone always keep your guns safety on. Failure to comply may get you banned from a particular location.
